In 2004 I trained to be an electrician at Hertford Regional College, my dad always said ‘get a trade and you’ll never be without work’. I setup two businesses, MH Electrical which covered domestic and commercial electrical installations and testing and MH Technical Solutions which covered a passion of mine, temporary power systems and project management for live events.
In 2014 I joined a company called Hawthorn Theatrical as a project manager, one of my freelance clients. I spent seven and a half years with them and in that time I had the privilege of working on some incredible events and in some amazing places. In this role I was lead project manager for Buckingham Palace Garden Parties and Summer Openings and worked on many high profile events across the world.
During COVID my dad came to live with me in Barrow so he wasn’t on his own. He lived with me and my family for almost a year but died in March 2021 after a few weeks of being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I started Bespoke Electrics to take my career back into a direction I wanted to go in and taking steps to regain a work/life balance.
